During his tenure as Vice President of Process & Technology Enablement at Prudential’s Actuarial Practice, Brandon showcased his expertise in process and technology enablement, leading an enablement team, and leveraging data analytics, Lean Six Sigma, and Python automation to meet the enterprise’s strategic goals.

Brandon’s ability to drive business transformation was evident through the successful implementation of a comprehensive program management framework that consolidated multiple project management offices into a centralized Project Management Center of Excellence. This resulted in a marked improvement in project closure rate, with a 25% increase recorded in 2019, and a portfolio of projects delivering measurable ROI, cost savings, and operational efficiency improvements.

In addition to his work on program management, Brandon also orchestrated a comprehensive business and technology transformation program enterprise-wide, exercising strategic leadership in the development and deployment of technology and program governance. Brandon Matthews has a wealth of experience in project management and product development, honed over his tenure as Corporate VP at New York Life. At the life insurance company, Brandon facilitated a structured approach to insurance product delivery, establishing program management best practices and processes to achieve product development goals. He leveraged Microsoft SharePoint to improve communication and knowledge sharing across the product development life cycle, resulting in a 10-15% increase in execution and operational efficiency.

Brandon’s exceptional leadership skills were on full display as he designed and implemented an organizational structure to support product development and manage plans to accomplish business goals as a strategic project management office (PMO). Strong Fundamentals.

Starting his project management journey at Cornell University as a Technical Project Manager, Brandon Matthews demonstrated his leadership skills and ability to manage complex IT projects. He oversaw the delivery of infrastructure, mobile device management (iOS, Android), and software development projects, guiding all phases of the project management lifecycle and delivering rollouts to a 1500+ user community. Continuing his success, Brandon then took on the role of Business Project Manager at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield. He led the delivery of complex regulatory programs using an in-house project management lifecycle and software development lifecycle (SDLC) that involved all aspects of the firm’s systems and business areas. Brandon’s expertise in capital budgeting and spend enabled him to fast-track the creation of initiative roadmaps and project prioritization, effectively guiding and resourcing programs and projects.
